At Bath Planet Shower by AC&R, we’ve seen our fair share of showers in need of some serious TLC. But when we got a call from a homeowner in Lake Forest, it was clear that we had a bathroom in need of an intervention. After years of daily wear and tear, their shower had become more of a utilitarian necessity rather than a sanctuary for relaxation.
The Challenge: Outdated and Impractical
The existing shower had seen better days. It was functional (barely), but it lacked the kind of comfort and appeal that makes you actually want to spend time in it. Let’s just say the space felt more like an afterthought, with a dull showerhead and basic design that didn’t reflect the homeowner’s style or taste.
The homeowner had one simple request: make it better. But as with any project we take on at Bath Planet Shower by AC&R, “better” means balancing aesthetics with practicality and durability. So, we got to work.
The Solution: A Shower Transformation
Our first priority was to make the space more functional without sacrificing beauty. We swapped out the existing shower pan and walls for a sleek, modern acrylic system designed for easy maintenance—no one wants to spend their weekends scrubbing grout lines. The smooth, white walls we installed gave the shower a fresh, clean look and the integrated corner shelving was a practical addition for the homeowner’s shower essentials.
The showerhead itself? An upgrade. The new chrome-finished, adjustable showerhead brought both style and functionality, giving the homeowner a much-improved experience, whether it’s a quick rinse or a long, relaxing soak. Plus, the handheld feature makes cleaning up a breeze—because let’s be honest, showers do need some cleaning from time to time.
The Customer’s Journey: From “Meh” to “Magnificent”
This particular homeowner was no stranger to home projects, but they weren’t exactly thrilled about diving into a bathroom remodel. Like most of us, they were dealing with busy schedules and just wanted a shower that worked, looked good, and wasn’t a hassle to maintain. We get it—who wants a high-maintenance relationship with their shower?
Once the project was underway, the homeowner quickly realized that working with Bath Planet Shower by AC&R was far less stressful than anticipated. Our team completed the job efficiently, with minimal disruption to their daily routine, and, more importantly, no hidden surprises. (Well, except for the one where the homeowner discovered they could actually enjoy their morning showers again. We’ll take the credit for that.)
The Result: A Functional and Stylish Retreat
By the time we were done, the shower had undergone a complete transformation. What had once been an outdated, uninspiring space was now a bright, modern shower that the homeowner actually wanted to use. With durable, low-maintenance materials and thoughtful touches like the corner shelves and handheld showerhead, this Lake Forest bathroom was officially upgraded.
The best part? The homeowner now looks forward to their morning routine and admits that they might even spend a few extra minutes in the shower these days. We’re pretty sure that’s a win.
At Bath Planet Shower by AC&R, we know that even a small upgrade—like a shower remodel—can have a huge impact on how you feel in your home. And let’s be real: starting your day with a great shower makes everything else just a little bit better.
